Coronavirus (COVID-19) Announcement - Updated June 1st

AHW is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our employees and our customers through these trying times with Coronavirus (COVID-19). We acknowledge the heightened awareness surrounding us, but we also understand our customers are actively involved in the “Essential Businesses” of food production, construction, and infrastructure maintenance required to keep our country running at this time.  As part of the support network for these essential businesses, AHW will remain open and continue all operations during this time.  We are taking steps, however, to keep our employees, our customers, and all our families as safe as possible in doing so.

Beginning June 1, 2020, you will notice some changes at our various store locations.  As each store's situation is different, some of our locations have been able to open their facilities, while others still have extra protection in place.  All stores will still have some customer access limited in certain areas of our stores. Regardless of location, all AHW employees will practice social distancing as well as do our best to limit in-person interactions when possible. We are still offering telephone or other electronic methods of communication, so you can choose the best way to communicate with your current situation.

Below you will find more details for ways we can continue to business together while minimizing our risks for spreading an unwanted infection.

Other Steps Taken By Our Local Facilities To Limit Risk of Spreading Infection
  • All AHW stores are cleaning and sanitizing common areas and washing hands at an increased rate.
  • AHW employees are practicing social distancing.  Employees will stop shaking hands with customers.
  • Employees who can work remotely have been allowed to do so.
  • Employees who are sick have been required to stay at home for the duration of their illness, and to seek proper medical care and advice.
  • Employees have been asked to limit business travel to essential trips.
  • Employees have been directed to limit riding with other employees or customers in company vehicles or farm equipment.
  • Locations with communal coffee or popcorn have stopped offering these items.
