Operations Center navigation updates unify web and mobile experiences

More easily find where you need to go to get work done in Operations Center web. New sections in Operations Center web are similar to those in Operations Center mobile for a more simplified farm management experience.

Each tool within Operations Center web has a brief description to provide more information about what the tool does.

MyOperations renamed to Operations Center mobile

To streamline the web and mobile experience, MyOperations has been renamed to Operations Center mobile.

New headers across every tab of the mobile app make common functions easier to access.

Introducing a new fully integrated planning experience that turns work defined in the office to an automated setup experience in the field

Plan work from anywhere and with any device

  • Work planning and tracking keeps everyone focused on the priorities.
  • The same experience is on the web and mobile app version, so it works from anywhere.

Enter setup details with one touch field

  • Seamlessly pull into a field and accurately document work with less steps for the operator in the cab.
  • Remove operator guesswork.

What’s new:

  • New Work Planner tool in Operations Center web
  • New Plan tab in Operations Center mobile
  • Send the work plan to the Gen 4 display from either web or mobile from anywhere
  • Operator can choose to use the planned work with the push of one button

NOTE: The previous Jobs work planning solution including Work Manager and the MyJobs™ mobile app has been discontinued. The Job Reports app will be discontinued in May 2021.

Plan the work in Operations Center (web or mobile)

Proactively plan the details of fieldwork all at once or one at a time. This provides the team with a centralized solution to track the work that needs to be done. This can be done either in the Work Planner in Operations Center web or by using the Plan tab in Operations Center mobile.

Planning work can be as simple as generic tillage, planting, application, or harvest work. Or if desired, plan out fully detailed work for the desired jobs including:

  • Fields
  • Equipment
  • Operator
  • Seed or chemical applied
  • Target rates
  • Prescriptions
  • Guidance tracks

Integrated with the Gen 4 display

Planned work can be sent to the display via a setup file. Once imported to the Gen 4 display, the operator can select the pre-defined work plan, eliminating operator selection steps and saving time. This also results in more accurate documentation as the number of errors caused by manually typing can be eliminated.

No more forgetting changes between fields

If there is any planned work for the field when the equipment enters a boundary, the operator will be prompted to start it.

Enter setup information with just one touch

When the operator enters the boundary, they can choose to accept the planned work as their setup configuration by simply selecting “OK,” and they are ready to work.

Preselected guidance tracks

Creating a work plan and sending them to the 4600 CommandCenter™ Display or 4640 Universal Display allows the operator to do the work exactly as the manager defined it, right down to the selected boundary and guidance track. And if the manager selected it, even the first guidance track is automatically selected.

Prescriptions without the guesswork

Prescriptions planned in Operations Center are selected without the operator having to choose from a list.

Other notes:

  • It is compatible with all Gen 4 displays (4200 and 4600 CommandCenter, 4240 and 4640 Universal Displays).
  • Gen 4 display version 20-3 is required.
  • Active Connect subscription is required for wireless transfer.
  • Work can be downloaded to a USB and imported manually.
  • GreenStar™ rate controller requires 21-1 software on the 4600 CommandCenter and 4640 Universal Displays.
  • Sprayer and spreader set rate capabilities to be added with 21-1 software on 4600 CommandCenter and 4640 Universal Displays.
  • This solution is foundational to the plans that John Deere has to continue automating the work equipment performs. There will be continued enhancements to make this an even more complete and automated solution.
